Kerowagi MP Francis Kikin Siune has opened three staff houses and a new classroom at Kambu Bingoma to boost rural education. Funded by the Kerowagi DDA, the K250,000 project supports vocational training for over 1,300 students from local clans. The upgraded Technical School now has Level 6 status, with plans for five more teachers’ houses to meet growing demand.
A new K50,000 classroom at Kambu Primary School will also improve learning for Gena-Waugla children. MP Kikin stressed that “only education develops our people, district, and PNG.” Local contractors built the facilities, creating jobs while strengthening community ties.
These new buildings mark a major leap forward for Kerowagi’s education system. By equipping students with skills and better facilities, Kambu is paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous future in the district.
