Infrastructure & Development

The Kerowagi District is committed to enhancing the physical framework of our district. We are currently developing robust road networks that connect our communities and constructing vital bridges. These projects will improve accessibility and connectivity for all residents, making it easier for people to get to work, school, and other essential services.

Infrastructure & Development

There are a number of civil works projects currently underway in Kerowagi District. Some of the major projects include:

  • The rehabilitation of the Koronigle-Kerowagi road. This is a 13-kilometer stretch of road that is being upgraded to improve access to the Kerowagi town. The project is being funded by the Kerowagi District Development Authority (DDA) and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
  • The construction of a new bridge over the Yoglogaima River. This bridge will improve access to the Gena and Siambugla villages in the eastern part of the district. The project is being funded by the DDA and is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
  • The upgrading of the Kerowagi town market. This project will include the construction of new stalls, a covered area, and a toilet block. The project is being funded by the DDA and is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
  • The construction of a new water supply system for the Kerowagi town. This project will include the drilling of new wells and the installation of new pipes. The project is being funded by the DDA and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

These are just a few of the civil works projects that are currently underway in Kerowagi District. The DDA is committed to improving the infrastructure in the district and these projects are a part of that effort.

In addition to these major projects, there are also a number of smaller civil works projects being undertaken in the district. These projects include the construction of new schools, health centers, and bridges. The DDA is also working to improve the road network in the district by grading and graveling existing roads and constructing new roads.

The DDA is working hard to improve the infrastructure in Kerowagi District and these civil works projects are a major part of that effort. These projects will help to improve the lives of the people in the district by making it easier for them to get around, access essential services, and improve their livelihoods
