Gogolmuk, Kerowagi District-Golgia Primary School celebrated a significant milestone on Thursday, October 23rd, with the official opening of two new classrooms.
The ceremony was officiated by the Vice Minister for Public Service, Hon. Francis Kikin Siune, and the Education Minister’s representative, Mr. Kasi Kakaito.
The K150,000 classroom project was fully funded by the Kerowagi District Development Authority (DDA). In a major follow-up announcement, Mr. Kakaito committed an additional K300,000 for the construction of a new teacher’s house, a critical need for the school.
Mr. Kakaito commended Hon. Siune’s efforts, revealing that his leadership has helped secure over K4 million in education support for the Kerowagi District. He described Hon. Siune as “one of the best MPs in the country” for delivering development projects.
The school’s Head Teacher, Mr. Alua Norbert, was visibly emotional, thanking the leaders for their continued support. In a gesture of gratitude, he announced that the new building would be named the “Francis Kikin Siune Building.” He also declared the community’s full support for the government in the upcoming 2027 election.
This sentiment was strongly supported by local chiefs and leaders, who distinguished Hon. Siune as “a true leader, not a politician.”
