A new ambulance was officially presented to the Neregaima Sub Health Center in Kerowagi District on August 29, 2024. The ceremony, led by Hon. Francis Kikin Siune, the local Member of Parliament, marked a significant enhancement in healthcare services for the area’s 26,000 residents.

The event was organized by the Kerowagi District Development Authority (DDA), with Mr. Philip Bomal, the Chief Executive Officer of Kerowagi District Administration, emphasizing the ambulance’s role in supporting health operations for communities including Bari and Genebona. This is the first time government support has been extended to the health center, which serves around 30 patients daily, according to Officer in Charge Mr. Joseph Nick.

In addition to the ambulance, Mr. Bomal announced financial support for local educational institutions: K120,000 for Neregaima Technical High School, K25,000 for Neregaima Primary School, K10,000 for an elementary school, and K20,000 for Neregaima Catholic Church. The initiative has received positive feedback from local leaders and health authorities, who see it as a vital step toward improving health and education services in the region.
