The two former MPs for Kerowagi District, Mr. Camillus Daguma Bongoro and Mr. Guma Wau, have handed over machinery they purchased during their terms under the District Services Improvement Program (DSIP) to the current MP, Hon. Francis Kikin Siune. The handover ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Kerowagi District headquarters.

The machinery includes a grader, a backhoe, and a water pump. Mr. Daguma and Mr. Wau said that they are handing over the machinery to Hon. Siune so that he can continue the infrastructure development work that they started during their terms. They also expressed their confidence that Hon. Siune will use the machinery to benefit the people of Kerowagi.

Hon. Siune thanked Mr. Daguma and Mr. Wau for handing over the machinery to him. He said that he will use the machinery to improve the roads, bridges, and water supply in Kerowagi District. He also said that he will work with the District Development Authority (DDA) to support the abbitor project, which was initiated by Mr. Daguma.

The handover ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honor, Hon. Don Polye, the Minister for Higher Education and Member for Kandep. Hon. Polye congratulated Mr. Daguma and Mr. Wau for their commitment to infrastructure development in Kerowagi District. He also encouraged Hon. Siune to continue the good work that his predecessors have started.

The ceremony was successfully hosted by Mr. Daguma and his tribesmen. They provided traditional food and entertainment for the guests. The event was a great opportunity for the people of Kerowagi to come together and celebrate the progress that has been made in the district.

The handover of machinery from the former MPs to the current MP is a sign of cooperation and goodwill between the different political leaders in Kerowagi District. It is also a sign of the commitment of the people of Kerowagi to development. With the support of the government and the DDA, the people of Kerowagi can look forward to continued progress in the years to come.
