The people of Upper Kor’nigle LLG in Kerowagi celebrated a major milestone on February 24, 2025, with the opening of the new Angagoi Market. The facility will benefit over 7,000 residents, helping farmers and small businesses sell their produce more easily. Local leaders, including Education Minister Lucas Dawa Dekena and Pangu Pati Secretary General Dogimai Tovebae, praised the project as a step toward self-reliance and economic growth.
Tovebae urged the community to protect the market, saying, “Don’t destroy this opportunity—be better than others.” Minister Dekena commended the people’s hardworking spirit and announced plans to upgrade Angagoi Primary School and improve nearby schools. “Education is our strength,” he said, highlighting how the market will help parents fund their children’s schooling.
Local MP Francis Kikin Siune shared the struggles of securing funding but emphasized that “change starts with the right attitude.” The Angagoi Market is a game-changer for Ward 13, offering new opportunities for income and growth. With this new hub, farmers and families can look forward to a brighter, more prosperous future.
